I just also uploaded my e-learning site so if you could tell me what you think. I need scrolling text and vids and graphical stuff yes I know. But I the content understandable for a begging person that knows nothing about these social networks.

Well as far as the game I have not had a chance to experience it much because I was not able to install it onto my desktop.  But from the experience I did have I was not to thrilled about it.  Maybe because I did not have enough time on it to figure out it functionality better, so therefore the time i did spend on it, it took me forever to figure out how to change things such as look and places.   I think If I where to spend like all day on it and become a second life master then maybe I could figure it out, but still dont think that i would enjoy it.  I would rather be doing something else like builing sites and doing homework. Im such a suck up…haha

Well recently have encountered problems with my html site so I figured I would just produce my site in Flash, because time is an issue and  I need to get it done.  So I will be using flash and will be have videos and images.  I just dont see how i could use anyother technologies for this project.

So what your saying is its all based on your experience towards something is how the experimental model works.  That the way that you design is based on something that you have experienced, the go based off of that.

The model of learning that I am choosing to compare to the ADDIE system of design would be Experience-Enabling Design. As far as this model goes, I feel as though this one differs from the ADDIE model in that it works backwards. The way I took it was that the first thing to do in the experience design is to embrace experience into an outcome, so therefore the way I am taking it is to create or visualize your outcome of your final product and then work from there. By experiencing i am confused, I don’t know whether or not it is telling me to produce a final piece of my experiences with was every the project is about or to go and experience what ever is being worked on and then create an outcome from your experience. Second, it states to narrow the gab from idea into outcome, the meaning I am getting is to create your ideas and produce little parts onto thumbnails for example if producing something with characters that needed to be drawn; give those characters a sketching but place them into a detailed environment. This is where I think that this design style differs from the ADDIE model because I feel that it starts backwards and cut some corners. Third, on the experience design model it states to create a shared language and what I am taking from that is to develop some layouts and think of how your would be able to communicate better with the user such as html or flash. Finally, the experience design model states Drive constituent parts towards total experience, which is telling me that last thing I should do is how to make this site dynamic and what features it will have. I feel the ADDIE is a better system and the experience design way just cuts to the chase and leaves out important ways of going about brainstorming and the formation and having everything set ready for development rather that producing will thinking about it along the way.

The second model that I examined what the Learning by Design way of designing. I am leaning toward more this style because it deals with a great deal of brainstorming and research. First off its all about your attitude and how your attitude is towards the certain project for example, being able to ask questions about how the user will accomplish tasks within the site. This is good because the more that you can ask yourself, then the more you can get out of the project. Then you start the process that deals with four different aspects and they all have to do with thinking and evaluating everything before you start producing. The process is as followed by Immersion, Incubation, Generation, and Evaluation. Immersion is basically looking at the project and saying what needs to be done and how hard is that going to be at accomplishing that particular task? Then Incubation is pretty much just sitting back and putting off the project and letting ideas come to you as you are not thinking about the project. Then Generation side is to actually writing down brainstorming ideas, sketches, or any other little thoughts that will help you get started. Finally, comes the evaluation which is too decide how it will be communicated such as flash or html and the expenses of such chosen decisions. I like this way because it makes me feel confident that I will have everything layed out and all I have to do is just to put it together, which leads to the final step which is the Development. Then from here its just putting the pieces together.

As far as analyze I think that this is clearly apparent because I have experienced the problem that I am trying to revolve is informing others what and how to use blogs and aggregators and things of that nature. As far as the design side I am trying to figure out how to an appropriate design that I can communicate well with my target audience, once I have a solution then I must develop the site. In addition, we must to testing among our target audience to see if we have reach our goals and objectives. Once all of that is done that we must evaluate and all the problems that have occurred. I believe that this part is very similar.

The difference I think is that after evaluate that there could be some more steps. For example, once evaluations have been made then redesign must come into play and testing again to make sure that everything is right before running the site live.

I wanted to do a site that informed people about blogs and aggregator, what they are, how to use them properly and just different aspects about them.  One reason im am feel like doing this I personally do not know much about them and would help me learn and how to use them to my advantage.

Multiple Intelligence Inventory for Adults :

I do feel as though these results are accurate, as far as the Vark testing I do feel as though I am a person thats learns or benefits from doing whatever i may be trying to gain knowledge on or about. I am not really big on reading some thing and learning about it unless I am reading and doing at the same time.

As far as the Multiple Intellegence Inventory survey I do believe in the results of these questions, because I do feel as though I am musically talented, because music has always been in my life and I have always enjoyed music and different aspects of music from my early years to the present day.

2) Well the type of environment that I would use to teach would have to deal with the Kinesthetic and Visual learning style because I am as hands on doing person and I believe that for this subject is better way of learning to actually have a person doing the lesson in an hands on learning environment cause explaining the information and code can confuse and discourage someone to pay attention to what is going on. I would have and environment displaying an instructor performing tasks while having to screen visible allowing the students to follow along and perform what is being instructed. I would also incorporate so Group Style or so called “Team Learning interaction to help a person out with getting familiar with a part of html/css that they don’t understand by asking someone because that is what helps me out is by asking a peer. I feel that developing pages together can help one another learn from each other. I think that doing real life problems and finding solutions for these problems would be great exercises for projects or group projects, just as it is stated in this article this is how i feel about pursuing learning…Problem Based Learning

3) I feel throughout my college experience I have performed a Kinesthetic style of learning. For one I have choose to go to schools where within the facilities there teaching and learning styles are hands on or the doing aspect of learning.  I am a very visual person and when I learn or design I like to get a visual and then build off of that visual.   I also believe that I have not done a certain part of the Kinesthetic style of learning where I do not go above and beyond, such as within my education I do not tend to do the additional research to help enhance my knowledge of a certain topic

well Mr. Matthew first off what it don’t? Now I feel the same way about second like not really how can i put this excited about second life but its whatever.  I found the comment very funny but true about these third world countries having laptops but yet they don’t have water, i agree and think they need to get there priorities straight. I have had hardly any experience with online classes or learning environments, the only expierence I have had with leaning online is with this e-learning class.  I have had the opportunities to take classes online but I choose not to deal with them for 1) I usually don’t have the discipline  to sit at my computer and do my work or read the lesson vs. going to a class I feel as though I am being forced to be there.  Going to a class room I feel as though the teacher knows I am gone and I feel guilty or like I will be in trouble or will have to deal with the consequences of a confrontation or whatever it may be with an instructor.  As far as an online class you will usually never have to see your professor and that authority threat will never be there in front of me so I do not feel obligated to do my work even though I obviously have to get it done.

2)Another reason for not taking online classes has to deal with the amount of reading that it consists of, I am not a big reader unless it is something that intrigues me  and want to find out more about.  If I am just reading a lecture I will tend to lose focus while I am reading and will read the information and when I get done I did not retain anything that I just read.  Thats why I am not really thrilled about this class.

My experience as far as this class goes has been so so.  The things that I like about the class is that we do not have to show up, but on the other hand this class depends on discussion and staying with constant interaction with one another and if I am not up at the school I am usually at work or doing something other than sitting at home at my computer.  The only time I am really on the computer is at night but I usually tend to relax and get ready for the following day.  The readings have not been that bad since the first assignment, and overall I guess it has been okay just some confusion on assignments.

As far as improvement go for the class or online learning, I would fine a better way to create a classroom environment and without having to read so much, I understand that its the net and you can have someone in front of you preaching but maybe thats where some video and audio feeds could come into play.  Just as a way to keep a students attention and for them to not lose focus while sitting at a computer.

As far as second life goes, from what I have experienced I am not really happy about it, it is really confusing and I tend to be very lost and get stuck in many places.  I am not a big computer gammer and this is what it reminds me of is people that like to sit at a computer and play games and that cool and all but it is just not for me.
